The three basics of the epidemic of infectious diseases are the source of infection, the routes of transmission, and the susceptible population. When a large-scale infectious disease occurs, cutting off any one of the three basic links can effectively control the epidemic of infectious diseases. Our various measures to prevent infectious diseases are targeted at one of the three basic links, and are divided into the following three aspects:

1. Control the source of infection
People with infectious diseases should be detected, diagnosed, reported, treated and isolated as early as possible to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Animals suffering from infectious diseases are also the source of infection and should be dealt with in a timely manner.
2. Cut off transmission routes
The main way to cut off transmission is through hygiene and sanitation. Eliminating the vectors of disease transmission and carrying out some necessary disinfection can deprive pathogens of the chance to infect healthy people.
3. Protect the susceptible
During the epidemic period, we should pay attention to the protection of susceptible people, prevent them from coming into contact with infectious sources, and carry out vaccination to improve the resistance of susceptible people. For the susceptible person himself, should actively participate in sports, physical exercise, enhance disease resistance.
