How to use Singclean® (medical sodium hyaluronate gel) viscoelastic solution for ophthalmic surgery

 

First expulse the air out of the ophthalmic luer-lock needle , then inject Singclean^® appropriately into eye.

The injected amount must be adapted to the type of surgical procedures.

The administration of Singclean^® should be performed only by trained specialists.

Over tightening may cause the hub to weaken and possibly detach from the syringe. Extrusion of a test droplet is recommended prior to entering eye, and excessive force on the plunger should be avoided.

How to use Singclean^® medical sodium hyaluronate gel for anti-adhesion?

 

1. Open Singclean^® box and take the product out.

2. Follow the indication, peel-open the blister tray, remove the Singclean^® syringe and place on sterile field.

3. After abdominal and pelvic surgery, inject Singclean^® gel into the cavity to completely cover the surface of the organs.

4. In order to achieve the best adhesion prevention results, the gel should not only be applied to the organs that are operated on but also to cover organs away from the surgical areas as much as possible.

5. The amount of gel in every single use depends on the area of surgical wounds. The maximum dosage regimen is no more than 50mL.

 

 

What Is Osteoarthritis (OA) of the Knee?

 

OA is a common condition that causes joints to become stiff and painful. It is most common in the elderly.

With OA of the knee, less synovial fluid which contains hyaluronic acid is produced naturally in the knee joint while synovial fluid acts as the knee's shock absorber and protects cartilage coverings from wear and tear. Gradually, as joint fluid continues to break down and cartilage eteriorates, bones may start to rub against each ther, leading to pain, stiffness, swelling and imited joint activity.

Mechanisms of different types of Ophthalmic surgery）

 

A. Cataract surgery and IOL implantation

The required amount of SINGCLEAN is slowly infused through a needle or cannula into the anterior chamber. The protective effect of SINGCLEAN as an aid is optimized when the injection is performed prior to cataract extraction and insertion of the lOL and is effective for both intra- and extra-capsular procedures. SINGCLEAN may be applied to lOL prior to insertion. Additional SINGCLEAN can be injected as required to facilitate surgical procedures.

B. Corneal transplant surgery

The corneal button is removed and the anterior chamber filled with SINGCLEAN is at level with the surface of the corneal. The donor graf is then placed on top of the SINGCLEAN and sutured into place. Additional SINGCLEAN can be used as required to aid in surgical procedures.

 

C. Glaucoma filtration surgery

SINGCLEAN is injected through a corneal paracentesis to restore and maintain anterior chamber volume during the performance of the trabeculectomy. Additional SINGCLEAN can be used as required to aid in the surgical procedures.

 

D. Secondary lens implantation

Before removing the IOL, a viscoelastic agent is injected into the anterior chamber to maintain the original depth of the anterior chamber, and the IOL is removed from the anterior chamber.

 

What is Adhesion?

 

Adhesion refers to the formation of abnormal connections or bonds between adjacent tissues or organs that are normally separate. It can occur after surgery when the body's natural healing process leads to the deposition of abnormal connective tissue around the surgical site.

This connective tissue, known as fibrous adhesions, can cause the tissues or organs to become stuck together, leading to complications and impairing their normal function.

 

Although adhesions can occur anywhere, the most common locations are within the:
