Singclean® viscoelastics hyaluronic acid is a colorless and transparent gel, composed of highly purified sodium hyaluronate dissolved in buffered saline. It works as a surgical aid in ophthalmic anterior and posterior segment surgery including: Cataract extraction, Corneal transparent, Glaucoma, Filtering and Secondary lens implantation.
Application
The use of a single cohesive agent is necessary for many cases.
1. During conditions of zero shear, cohesive OVDs tend to lock in position, helping to maintain space very effectively in the anterior segment of the eye during surgery.
2. Cohesive OVDs are also a good choice for inflation of the capsular bag prior to lens implantation, more easily, quickly, and completely removed from the capsular bag and anterior segment.
3. Better at flattening structures within the eye.
4. Work well for repositing or holding back prolapsing iris tissue at the cataract incision site or blood from the iris or angle.
