What is HCG?
Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) is a hormone produced by the placenta during pregnancy. It plays a crucial role in maintaining pregnancy by supporting the corpus luteum.

Positive Result
The appearance of two red lines-one in the test region (T) and one in the control region (C)-indicates a positive result, meaning you are likely pregnant.
One line may appear lighter than the other, but this still suggests that hCG has been detected in your urine.
To confirm pregnancy and discuss next steps, consult your doctor.
Possible Causes of a False-Negative Result
A false-negative result may occur if:
The urine sample was collected after your first-morning urine, which is when hCG levels are most concentrated.
The test was taken too early, before hCG levels were high enough to be detected.
There was a miscalculation of the timing of your missed period.
If you suspect a false-negative result but believe you might be pregnant, consult your doctor for an hCG blood test, which is more sensitive and can detect lower levels of the hormone.
