Osteoarthritis (OA) is a degenerative joint disease characterized by progressive loss of articular cartilage. As OA progresses, synovial fluid-which naturally contains hyaluronic acid-loses its viscoelastic properties, leading to:

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a key component of synovial fluid, providing:
