What is MAU?

MAU (microalbuminuria) is a low concentration of albumin in urine.

By testing MAU, potential kidney damage can be detected and intervened in time, especially in patients with diabetes or hypertension, to prevent or delay the development of serious kidney disease.

Result Interpretation

Two color bands are visible. One is located in the test line region (T), and the other is in the control line region (C). Which means the MAU concentration is not present in urine or too low for detection.

Only one color band appears in the control region (C). No visible band on the test region (T) means the MAU concentration is more than 20 mg/L, which indicates possible CKD.
